Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about setting up Zoí, daily care, health, privacy, and shopping — written from how the app actually works.

Getting started

Download Zoí PetCare Ai, create an account with email or Google, then add your first pet with a name, photo, species, and a few care details.

Home becomes your daily hub — routines, stats, and tips for the active pet. You can add more pets later in Settings (up to 10).

Yes. Zoí is built for multi-pet homes. Add pets in Settings → Pet Profiles, then switch the active pet from the pet circles on Home or Settings.

Routines, nutrition, health, and reminders follow the pet you have selected.

There are five bottom tabs: Home (daily routine), Health (insights & badges), Nutrition, Schedule, and Settings.

Map, Friends, Reminders, Pet Profile, and Health Records open from those areas — they are not separate tabs. See the Features pages for step-by-step guides.

Core care features — routines, health, nutrition, reminders, friends, and map — are available in the app as you download it today.

Pet Supplies shopping and some subscription options may appear as the store experience rolls out; the website Shop lets you browse a catalog meanwhile.

Daily care

On Home, tasks are grouped into Morning, Afternoon, and Evening. Zoí picks the tab that matches the time of day.

Tap the circle on a routine card to mark it done. Stats for meals, water, walks, and pills update automatically. Tap History to review past days.

Open Schedule and tap the alarm button, or go to Home → Notifications → Reminders.

Choose Add New Reminder, pick an activity (food, walk, meds, vet, shopping, and more), set time and repeat, then save. You can edit or pause reminders anytime in My Reminders.

On a trackable walk task on Home, tap Track. On the map, tap Start — GPS follows your distance toward the goal.

You can pause, resume, or keep walking in the background. When you hit the goal distance, the walk task completes. Manual check-off stays locked until tracking finishes the goal.

Schedule gives a week view: today’s progress, a month calendar with care dots, Today’s Plan, upcoming reminders, and the next seven days.

It mirrors what you complete on Home, so you can see the bigger picture without leaving the app.

Health & nutrition

The Health tab is your wellness hub: tips, home-care tasks (grooming, dental, parasite prevention, and more), vaccination & meds timeline, and a Trophy Case for care milestones.

Tap Records in the Health header to open Health Records for documents and prescriptions.

Yes. In Health Records, use Quick Upload → Explain, photograph the prescription, then review Zoí’s suggested explanation before you save.

AI suggestions are informational only — not a diagnosis. Always confirm medications and doses with your veterinarian.

Nutrition shows a daily calorie target based on your pet’s profile. Log food by entering pack calories, scanning a barcode, or scanning a photo.

Tap Ask me anything! for nutrition chat. Today’s meals sync with Home routine completions.

No. Tips, nutrition chat, food estimates, and document explanations are for information and organization only.

They are not a substitute for professional veterinary diagnosis or treatment. For medical decisions, contact a qualified veterinarian.

Friends & map

From Home, tap Invite on the Friends strip, or go to Settings → Add friends. Browse suggestions, find by contact, or share an invite link / QR.

Friendships are pet-to-pet: you choose which of your pets connects to which of theirs. Accept requests from Notifications or Friends.

Open the map icon on Home to find nearby vets, shops, salons, and parks. Tap a place for details and directions.

If Nearby Friends visibility is on for you and a friend, you may see their pet on the map. The map also connects to community Lost & Found alerts.

From Map → community / Lost & Found, or Settings → Report Lost Pet, post a photo, description, and last-seen area.

Others can message you in-app — no phone number required. You can mark your alert as found from the Mine filter.

Account & privacy

Tap the bell on Home for the Notifications center (chats, friend requests, missing-pet contacts, Reminders).

For sounds, preview, badge, and quiet hours, go to Settings → Notifications. Allow system permission if Zoí asks.

No. We do not sell your personal information. We collect what care features need and share only as described in our Privacy Policy (for example, service providers and features you choose such as friends or Nearby Friends).

In the app: Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete account. After you confirm, data is scheduled for permanent removal after a 30-day grace period. You can sign back in during that window to restore.

Need help outside the app? See the data deletion help page.

On the sign-in screen, use Forgot password to receive a reset code by email. If you signed in with Google, use Continue with Google instead of an email password.

Shop

You can browse Pet Supplies, open product details, and build a bag on the Shop page. Your bag is saved in this browser.

Secure checkout completes with the in-app Pet Supplies experience as it rolls out. Until then, browsing and bagging help you plan what you need.

Food, Toys, Grooming, Health, and Treats — everyday supplies meant to sit beside the care you already track in Zoí.

Health items are for general wellness support only and are not a substitute for veterinary products or advice prescribed by your clinic.

No. In-app Shopping reminders are checklists you create for errands (and can tick off from Home). The website Shop is a product catalog for pet supplies.

You can use both: plan purchases in Shop, and keep a Shopping reminder for items to pick up locally.
